Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 27.5 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18 degrees.
Upon arrival, Stewards conducted checks on all trainers' vehicles used to transport greyhounds to today's meeting. Stewards were satisfied that all (bar one) transportation used today complied with GRV Hot Weather and GRV Transport of Greyhounds Policy.
The Stewards have opened and adjourned an inquiry into the transport used by trainers Mr. M. Hendy and Ms. J. Wilson to today's race meeting. (GRV Transportation of Greyhounds Policy). The inquiry has been adjourned to a date and time to be fixed.
As a result of the inquiry, the following greyhounds were withdrawn by order of the Stewards:

Ava's Choice and High Volume collided approaching the first turn checking Ava's Choice. Born A Guru and You See Smoke collided approaching the first turn. Born A Guru raced wide in the home straight.
