Steward's Report
Kraken Buster and Tilly Lee were quick to begin.
My Attitude crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Alpine Cowboy. Rico's Amore and Go Commando collided approaching the first turn. Alpine Cowboy and Jugungal Black collided approaching the first turn checking Jugungal Black. Alpine Cowboy checked off Facing The Music on the first turn. My Attitude and Tilly Lee collided approaching the second turn. Go Commando checked off Facing The Music entering the back straight severely checking Alpine Cowboy and Jugungal Black causing Jugungal Black to stumble. Facing The Music checked off Tilly Lee approaching the home turn. Tilly Lee and My Attitude collided on the home turn. Tilly Lee turned its head and collided with My Attitude in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.
Tilly Lee underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abraded webbing to left & right hind and the left front, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr R. Palmer, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight and approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Tilly Lee was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Palmer pleaded guilty to the charge, Tilly Lee must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Mr L. Karabitsakos the representative of Rico's Amore and reminded him of his responsibilities to listen to the starters instructions in accordance with GAR 51(4)..
