Moonie Convoy and Scatterbox were quick to begin. Lily Pad, Nadali and Charango were slow to begin.
King Of Swing checked off Moonie Convoy soon after the start checking Angie Ling. Scatterbox crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Moonie Convoy, King Of Swing, Nadali, Why Not Luv and Charango. Angie Ling and Moonie Convoy collided approaching the second turn. Angie Ling, Moonie Convoy and Nadali collided on the second turn checking Moonie Convoy. Angie Ling crossed out in the back straight checking Nadali. Lily Pad checked off Why Not Luv on the third turn. Nadali and King Of Swing collided on the third turn and again approaching the home turn severely checking King Of Swing. Moonie Convoy checked off King Of Swing on the home turn. Why Not Luv and Scatterbox collided on the home turn.
King Of Swing underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right hind dorsal and metatarsals - no stand down period was imposed.
