Steward's Report

A pre-race sample was taken from Aron Allen.

Crakalakin Caity, Alquist and Mini Yaala were quick to begin. Spring Classic, Aron Allen and Deano's Mojo were slow to begin.

Aron Allen stumbled and lost ground on the first turn. Crakalakin Caity checked off Alquist on the first turn checking Dusseldorp. Crakalakin Caity and Spring Classic collided in the home straight. Deano's Mojo checked off the heels of Alquist in the home straight. Spring Classic visibly eased approaching the finishing line.

Spring Classic underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the right front toe and left foreleg monkey muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr K. Mugavin, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the finishing line. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Spring Classic was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Mugavin pleaded guilty to the charge, Spring Classic must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Aron Allen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg quadriceps injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards conducted a check of all catcher’s licences in accordance with LR 16.2 for the night, all were compliant.
