A pre-race sample was taken from Superior Power.
Banjo's Affair and Dakar were slow to begin.
Dakar crossed out soon after the start. Superior Power and Sole Elusion collided at the 100m mark checking both greyhounds. Banjo's Affair and Kireina collided at the 100m mark. Superior Power, Dakar and Big Bazza collided approaching the 50m mark checking Sole Elusion and severely checking Superior Power and Big Bazza; Big Bazza stumbled and lost ground as a result.
Superior Power underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have soreness to the right hind pencil. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Big Bazza underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right pencil and right quadriceps. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
