Steward's Report
Zipping Clive was slow to begin.
Flash De Goey, Zekel Bale and Sheer Bliss collided soon after the start. Tilly Lee, Sheer Bliss and Ivey's Affair collided approaching the first turn checking Ivey's Affair. Ivey's Affair and Flash Degoey collided approaching the second turn severely checking Ivey's Affair. Smokin' Cindy visibly eased and turned its head on the third turn. Tilly Lee checked off Smokin' Cindy on the home turn.
Smokin' Cindy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left calf and left monkey muscles, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Tony Tufo regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the third turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Smokin' Cindy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Tufo pleaded guilty to the charge, Smokin' Cindy must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
