Steward's Report
Untested and Okawa Eye Candy collided approaching the first turn, checking Okawa Eye Candy. Maximum Refusal and Scatterbox collided on the first turn, checking Maximum Refusal. Little Tubbsy, Untested, Mega Dossa and Gatsby collided on the first turn; severely checking Untested and Mega Dossa. Untested and Mega Dossa collided approaching the second turn and again on the second turn. Untested galloped on the heels of Okawa Eye Candy approaching the home turn. Little Tubbsy visibly eased and turned its head in the home straight.
Untested underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Little Tubbsy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg triangle injury, a five day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Ms N McRae regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Little Tubbsy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms McRae pleaded guilty to the charge, Little Tubbsy must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
