A pre-race sample was taken from Dundee Jester
Legasov Bale was quick to begin.
No Degree and Oh Suzie collided approaching the first turn, checking Oh Suzie. No Degree and Exhilarating collided approaching the first turn. Exhilarating and Legasov Bale collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Exhilarating failed to pursue the lure with due commitment approaching the home turn checking Legasov Bale. No Degree and Exhilarating collided entering the home straight. Beguile raced wide in the home straight.
Exhilarating underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a quadricep injury to the left hind leg, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr.L.Thompson, the representative, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Exhilarating was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr.Thompson pleaded guilty to the charge, Exhilarating must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
