Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Wee Fishin' and Cornish Pixie were slow to begin.

Chump Agent raced wide approaching the first turn. Stick Hunter and Hebridean Black collided several times approaching the first turn. Dundee Dancer turned its head outwards entering the home straight. Dundee Dancer turned its head outwards in the home straight,and collided with Shared Colour. 

It was noted that the muzzle of Hebridean Black became partially dislodged during the running of the event. 

Dundee Dancer underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was revetted following race 3, Dundee Dancer was found to have a left shoulder injury, left foreleg and a right thigh injury,. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to  representative Mr. M..Delbridge, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Dundee Dancer was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr.Delbridge, pleaded not guilty to the charge, Dundee Dancer must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Paper Plane and Aston Casino collided soon after the start, checking Paper Plane. Paper Plane and Ernie Prang collided approaching the first turn. Just Cruising and Illustration collided approaching the first turn. Magic Marcia raced wide entering the home straight. Paper Plane raced wide approaching the winning post. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. McKenzie, the representative of Magic Marcia regarding the greyhound's improved performance in tonight's event. Stewards noted that there was a significant market move for the greyhound in early betting.  Mr. McKenzie stated Magic Marcia trialled well at Ballarat prior to it's previous start on the 27th of May. Mr. McKenzie added that Magic Marcia received interference last week and felt that the greyhound would be competitive in tonight's event with an uninterupted run. Stewards noted Mr. Mckenzie's explanation. 

Supercross was very slow to begin, 3 lengths.

Alana Rose and What A Circus collided soon after the start, checking Alana Rose. Balt, Tiggerlong Lucky, Fancy Storm and What A Circus collided approaching the first turn, checking Tiggerlong Lucky and Fancy Storm. Supercross checked off the heels of Alana Rose approaching the home turn.

Pirate Pete was slow to begin.

Pirate Pete and Enter The Son collided approaching the first turn, checking Pirate Pete. Perfect Colour and Kazoo collided approaching the first turn. Perfect Colour checked off Enter The Son on the first turn. Pirate Pete checked off Kazoo approaching the home turn. My Girl Kizzy, Pyrocumulus and Enter The Son collided in the home straight, checking Pyrocumulus

Swift Binga was slow to begin.

New For One and Flying Flash collided soon after the start, checking New For One. Swift Binga and Flying Flash collided approaching the first turn, checking Swift Binga. Seabrook Stack checked off Toolleen Town approaching the first turn. Swift Binga, New For One and Seabrook Stack collided on the first trun, checking New For One and Seabrook Stack. Flying Flash and Toolleen Town collided approaching the home turn. Flying Flash and Ezra Bale collided several times in the home straight. 

Omar Little was quick to begin.

Smokey Renn and Dyna Romy collided soon after the start, checking Dyna Romy. Unrivalled Dusty and Broadway Bullet collided on the first turn, checking Broadway Bullet. Selynya Teddy checked off the heels of Any Luck on the second turn, Any Luck  tired over the concluding stages.

Any Luck underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have cramped. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp). Any Luck must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

Legasov Bale was quick to begin.

No Degree and Oh Suzie collided approaching the first turn, checking Oh Suzie. No Degree and Exhilarating collided approaching the first turn. Exhilarating and Legasov Bale collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Exhilarating failed to pursue the lure with due commitment approaching the home turn checking Legasov Bale. No Degree and Exhilarating collided entering the home straight. Beguile raced wide in the home straight. 

Exhilarating underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a quadricep injury to the left hind leg, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr.L.Thompson, the representative, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1),  Exhilarating was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr.Thompson pleaded guilty to the charge,  Exhilarating must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Have A Roadie – Late scratching at 6.13 pm due to non-arrival (GAR 31). A $250 fine was imposed. Trainer Mr. A. Bayliss informed Stewards that he had a vehicle breakdown on-route to the track. Stewards have advised Mr. Bayliss that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 48 hours of the occurrence that caused the non-arrival. The matter will be re-evaluated upon receipt of this evidence. 

Tiggerlong Grace was quick to begin.

Penta Allen and Noonbarra Jack collided soon after the start, checking Noonbarra Jack. Penta Allen checked off Go Pappa Go on the first turn. Penta Allen and Go Pappa Go collided on the home turn. Noonbarra Jack and Tiggerlong Grace collided in the home straight

Ignatiuos Bale was quick to begin.

Madam Malkin, Blue Magic Opal, Astin Riku collided approaching the first turn. Madam Malkin checked off Aston Moscato approaching the first turn, checking Aston Jansz and Blue Magic Opal. Madam Malkin, Aston Jansz and Blue Magic Opal collided on the first turn, checking all three greyhounds. Cherokee Cash checked off Ignatiuos Bale on the home turn and raced wide. Aston Jansz and Blue Magic Opal collided approaching the winning post.

Knockabout Fantasy was slow to begin.

Crackerjack Scot, Florentine Bale, Knockabout Fantasy and Aston Rose collided soon after the start, checking Aston Rose. Magic Jet, Shifter Magic and Florentine Bale collided approaching the first turn, checking Magic Jet, Shifter Magic and Knockabout Fantasy. Zipping Navy and Magic Jet collided approaching the home turn. Magic Jet and Shifter Magic collided approaching the home turn, checking Shifter Magic. Florentine Bale and Sprout collided in the home straight, checking Sprout.

Crackerjack Scot was initally placed in the incorrect starting box before being taken out and moved into the correct starting box. The race jumped as advertised.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Fisher after it was established that he placed the greyhound Crackerjack Scot in the incorrect box at the start of the event.  Stewards took evidence from Mr. Fisher and Stewards at the start. After considering all the evidence, Stewards charged Mr. Fisher pursuant to GAR86(o) in that he placed the number seven (7) greyhound Crackerjack Scot into box number six (6) which in the opinion of Stewards was negligent. Mr. Fisher pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $200.
