Steward's Report
Teardrop, Flashy De Goey, Akina Error and Dynamic Ross collided approaching the first turn checking Teardrop and Akina Error. Teardrop and Flasy De Goey collided on the first turn checking Teardrop, Flashy De Goey and Dynamic Ross, causing Dynamic Ross to race wide. Mates Rates galloped on Tim Tam Sam on the third turn causing Dynamic Ross to race wide. Mates Rates and Tim Tam Sam collided approaching the home turn severely checking both greyhounds causing Tim Tam Sam to fall, Mates Rates was inconvenienced and subsequently tailed off as a result. Flashy De Goey and Akina Error collided approaching the home turn checking Flashy De Goey.
Mates Rates underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury and an abrasion to the left metacarpal. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr B. Sands, the trainer of Mates Rates regarding its performance approaching the home turn. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Mates Rates must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Tim Tam Sam underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left and right wrist sprains and a left triangle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
