Victoria's Kara was quick to begin.
Chief Command and Runnin' Rampage collided soon after the start. Chief Command checked off Runnin' Rampage on the first turn. Cash No Bounce checked off Runnin' Rampage on the first turn. Chief Command, Merriview Mach and Valletta Mist collided on the first turn checking Chief Command and Valletta Mist. Chief Command and Valletta Mist collided approaching the home turn checking Valletta Mist. Chief Command and Valletta Mist collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds. Curlin' Merlin checked off Victoria's Kara in the home straight. Victoria's Kara and Curlin' Merlin collided in the home straight checking Curlin' Merlin.
Chief Command underwent a post-race veterinary examination - and was found to have displayed signs of cramping post-race, a left hindleg back muscle and right hindleg triangle muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Razor Sharp - Connections reported that on examination on Friday 15 November the greyhound was found to have a strain to the right hock.
