Silent Oscar raced wide soon after the start checking Geena Bale and Libby The Ripper. On Key and Lil Snooze collided on the first turn checking On Key. On Key and Hard At It collided approaching the home turn checking Hard At It and Charmed. Charmed crossed to the outside on the home turn checking Silent Oscar. Geena Bale checked off Hard At It entering the home straight. Geena Bale and Libby The Ripper collided in the home straight.

Flying Zara was quick to begin.

Good Mate Rusty, Broken Drum and Jackson Abby collided soon after the start. Grime Time Zeus and Good Mate Rusty collided soon after the start checking Grime Time Zeus. Grime Time Zeus checked off Good Mate Rusty on the first turn. Aston Franc, Flying Zara and Broken Drum collided on the first turn checking Aston Franc, Flying Zara, Broken Drum and Jackson Abby. Grime Time Zeus checked off Broken Drum approaching the home turn checking Grime Time Zeus and severely checking Broken Drum. Aston Franc and Jackson Abby collided on the home turn. Terka Wye raced wide in the home straight.

Broken Drum underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hind paw. No stand down period was imposed.

Lektra Loopy was slow to begin.

Lektra Loopy and Winlock Buggy collided soon after the start checking Lektra Loopy. Tommy Cawbourne checked off Cyclone Zara approaching the first turn. Tommy Cawbourne and Winlock Buggy collided on the first turn and again on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Alamosa Bill faltered approaching the home turn checking Lektra Loopy. Winlock Buggy checked off Sway in the home straight. Sway lost ground on the home turn and in the home straight.

Alamosa Bill underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have split webbing and a fractured toe to the left hindleg. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Sway underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg monkey muscle injury and a right hindleg pencil muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke Trainer Mr J Thompson regarding the greyhounds performance in the event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Sway must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Catch Jackson crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Pirates Patch, Flying Fifi, Tippa, Abelero Bale and Lektra Twixy. Abelero Bale, Flying Fifi, Pirates Patch and Sweet Impala collided on the first turn checking Abelero Bale, Pirates Patch, Sweet Impala and severely checking Flying Fifi. Flying Fifi checked off Pirates Patch approaching the home turn.

Flying Fifi underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have minor abrasion to the right hock and spike wound to the left hind paw. No stand down period was imposed.

Habib was quick to begin.

Bonafide underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hind leg pencil muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Cawbourne Get Up and No More Partying collided soon after the start checking No More Partying. Go Natalie Go crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Benchester and Layback Cruiser. Layback Cruiser checked off Go Natalie Go on the first turn causing Layback Cruiser to gallop on the heels of No More Partying, checking No More Partying. Go Natalie Go, Ma's Plum Jam and Cawbourne Get Up collided on the first turn checking Ma's Plum Jam and Cawbourne Get Up. Layback Cruiser and No More Partying collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Layback Cruiser underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions and spike wounds to the left front paw, thumps and a track leg injury to the left hindleg.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms. K. Houlihan, the handler of Layback Cruiser, regarding the greyhound's performance in the home straight. Ms. Houlihan stated that Layback Cruiser failed to strongly run the distance in tonight's event. Ms. Houlihan added that Layback Cruiser is best suited when racing on pace and felt that the interference suffered during the event contributed to the greyhound's below market expectation performance.

Chief Command underwent a post-race veterinary examination - and was found to have displayed signs of cramping post-race, a left hindleg back muscle and right hindleg triangle muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
