Steward's Report

Lektra Loopy was slow to begin.

Lektra Loopy and Winlock Buggy collided soon after the start checking Lektra Loopy. Tommy Cawbourne checked off Cyclone Zara approaching the first turn. Tommy Cawbourne and Winlock Buggy collided on the first turn and again on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Alamosa Bill faltered approaching the home turn checking Lektra Loopy. Winlock Buggy checked off Sway in the home straight. Sway lost ground on the home turn and in the home straight.

Alamosa Bill underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have split webbing and a fractured toe to the left hindleg. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Sway underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg monkey muscle injury and a right hindleg pencil muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke Trainer Mr J Thompson regarding the greyhounds performance in the event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Sway must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Missy Bale - the winner of the event.
