Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff, at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful heatlh screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations. 

Mr. P. Abela was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Outstanding News pursuant to GAR 33.

Just A Fidget - Late scratching at 14:53 on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a left wrist sprain. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Magic Indeed and McIvor Ernie collided soon after the start checking Magic Indeed. This Time Bro and Outstanding News collided soon after the start. Outstanding News and Magic Indeed collided approaching the first turn checking Magic Indeed. Tommy's No Angel visibly eased and turned it's head outwards on the first turn. Outstanding News and Leo's My Champ collided on the first turn checking Outstanding News. McIvor Ernie and Tommy's No Angel collided entering the home straight severely checking McIvor Ernie which collided with Exclusively Mine. Tommy's No Angel and Exclusively Mine collided several times approaching the winning post checking Exclusively Mine.

Tommy's No Angel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and re-vetted after race 6, and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. J. Formosa, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Tommy's No Angel was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Formosa pleaded guilty to the charge, Tommy's No Angel must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Orion Bale– Late scratching at8.59am when Mr. B. Grenfell reported the greyhound to havean illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Nicko Dancer was vetted prior to the event and was cleared to race.

Seabrook Stack and Dicky's Girl collided soon after the start checking Dicky's Girl which tailed off. Too Far Bro, Nicko Dancer and Blushed collided on the first turn. Seabrook Stack brushed the running rail on the first turn. Too Far Bro, Nicko Dancer, Gemma Rapid and Bushman's Buddy collided on the first turn checking Nicko Dancer and Bushman's Buddy. Seabrook Stack and Nicko Dancer collided approaching the home turn. Bushman's Buddy and Gemma Rapid collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight. Nicko Dancer and Bushman's Buddy collided approaching the winning post.

Dicky's Girl underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found. Mr. Merton declined to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Merton, the trainer of Dicky's Girl regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Dicky's Girl was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Merton pleaded guilty to the charge, Dicky's Girl is suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Cullquin Marcel and Kenita were slow to begin. Roots Rock Riot and Empowered collided soon after the start checking Empowered. Tin Can Sam, Empowered, Cullquin Marcel and Kenita collided approaching the first turn checking Cullquin Marcel. Empowered, Kenita and Tin Can Sam collided on the first turn checking Empowered. Tin Can Sam and Kenita collided approaching the home turn checking Kenita. Freakish Talent and Roots Rock Riot collided approaching the home turn checking Roots Rock Riot. It's Magic clipped the heels of Joking Bear entering the back straight checking It's Magic. It's Magic, Railway Burra and Cherokee Fawn collided approaching the second turn checking Cherokee Fawn. Omar Little underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the neck, left monkey muscle, right calf and spike wounds to the right calf and abdomen. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Kraken Bo - Late scratching at 2:16pm under GAR 37 (4) on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian after the greyhound was found to be infested with fleas. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance stating the condition no longer exists, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mr. Avila, Sizzlin' Sanchez, Inter Helen and Unsolved Mystery collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Inter Helen and severely checking Sizzlin' Sanchez. Mr. Avila and Unsolved Mystery collided approaching the home turn checking Unsolved Mystery. A post-race sample was taken from Pine's Pick, winner of the event.
