Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Wake Up.
Aston Corinna checked off Wake Up approaching the first turn. Sunset Bourbski and Diamond Cartel collided on the first turn, causing Sunset Bourbski to collide with Aston Corinna, checking Aston Corinna. Wake Up and Major Giblet collided on the first turn. Diamond Cartel checked off Earn The Frank entering the front straight and collided with Wake Up and Major Giblet. Sunset Bourbski checked off Diamond Cartel on the second turn checking Wake Up and severely checking Sunset Bourbski. Aston Corinna turned its head inwards on the home turn and again in the home straight.
Aston Corinna underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left thigh muscle injury, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Ms K. Heinrich, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Aston Corinna was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Heinrich pleaded guilty to the charge, Aston Corinna must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
