Further enhancements have been made by Stewards around social distancing with COVID-19. In accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed the Starter to box the greyhounds in a single file boxing process, commencing with box 1, followed by 2, followed by 3, followed by 4, followed by 5, followed by 6, followed by 7, followed by 8. Essentially 1 through 8 in single file. All handlers will be 2m back from the handler in front during loading process.

He Shall Blitz and Loz's Bling were slow to begin.

Addictive Pete and Rock In Rio collided approaching the first turn.  Addictive Pete and Dazzle collided on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds.  He Shall Blitz and Rock In Rio collided on the second turn.  Addictive Pete and Dazzle collided on the third turn.

Addictive Pete underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle muscle injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Gould, the trainer of Addictive Pete regarding its performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Addictive Pete must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Ultra Lightbeam – Late scratching at 5:29pm on 28/3/20 when Mr Matthew Marshall reported the greyhound to have a fibula injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Sensory.

Immersion was quick to begin.  Nine To Seven was slow to begin.

Nenna Tears, Sensory and True Alpha collided soon after the start checking Sensory.  Nenna Tears checked off True Alpha on the first turn checking Nine To Seven; causing Nine To Seven and Nenna Tears to race wide as a result.  Saw Blaze checked off Nenna Tears on the third turn.

Stewards noted the the muzzle of Sensory became loose during the event.

Rapid Response and Natsu Bale were quick to begin.

Sixties Rocker checked off Natsu Bale on the first turn checking Mepunga Royal.  Mepunga Royal and Dewana Degoey collided approaching the home turn.  Natsu Bale and Artemisia collided on the home turn.  Sixties Rocker, Mepunga Royal and Dewana Degoey collided entering the home straight.  

A pre-race sample was taken from Wake Up.

Aston Corinna checked off Wake Up approaching the first turn.  Sunset Bourbski and Diamond Cartel collided on the first turn, causing Sunset Bourbski to collide with Aston Corinna, checking Aston Corinna.  Wake Up and Major Giblet collided on the first turn.  Diamond Cartel checked off Earn The Frank entering the front straight and collided with Wake Up and Major Giblet.  Sunset Bourbski checked off Diamond Cartel on the second turn checking Wake Up and severely checking Sunset Bourbski.  Aston Corinna turned its head inwards on the home turn and again in the home straight.  

Aston Corinna underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left thigh muscle injury, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Ms K. Heinrich, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Aston Corinna was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Ms Heinrich pleaded guilty to the charge, Aston Corinna must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Weblec Spice and Mr. Mufasa collided soon after the start.  Run By Night, Zipping Hunter and One Night Only collided soon after the start.  Weblec Spice, Mr. Mufasa and Who Cry Now collided on the first turn.  Mr. Mufasa checked off Who Cry Now approaching the second turn.  One Night Only checked off Zipping Hector approaching the third turn.  One Night Only and Zipping Hector collided entering the home straight.

Lightwood Lass – Late scratching at 4:21pm on 28/3/20 when Mr John Brown reported the greyhound to have an illness (virus) (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Ms Lori Courts failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Repercussions for racing.  Ms Courts was issued with a warning pursuant to GAR 46 (2).

Repercussions and Bronski Beat were slow to begin.

Repercussions, Blusain Bolt and Saint Destructor collided on the first turn.

Start A Riot – Late scratching at 8:21am when Mr Keith Hellmuth reported the greyhound to have a monkey muscle injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

A pre-race sample was taken from I'm A Krakouer.

I'm A Krakouer and Restricted collided on the first turn checking I'm A Krakouer; severely checking Restricted which subsquently faltered and pulled up as a result.  Immediate and Zen Prince collided approaching the third turn checking Zen Prince.

Restricted underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right hock and the right foreleg paw. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr Lee Rowe was reminded of his responsibilities after he negligently (GAR 86(o)) placed the incorrect rug on the greyhound Belt Up Ronny prior to being scanned in the kennel area for this event.  

Miss Heart checked off Belt Up Ronny soon after the start.  So Tough checked off Miss Heart on the fourth turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr Peter Riley, the handler of Dreamin' Is Free and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.

Post-race samples were taken from Belt Up Ronny (1st) and Dreamin' Is Free (2nd).

Larrakeyah Lady checked off Sovereign Wind soon after the start and collided with Midnight Force.  Larrakeyah Lady and Midnight Force collided on the first turn and again on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Larrakeyah Lady and Midnight Force collided on the third turn.

Swift Brittany – New declared weight of 28.7kg, last raced at 30.4kg.

Zipping Marshall and Swift Brittany collided soon after the start.  Patient Panda and Swift Brittany collided on the first turn checking Swift Brittany.

Pennine Way – Late scratching at 8:16pm on 28/3/20 when Mr John Musselwhite reported the greyhound to have a shoulder injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Zoro Bale.

Sizzlin' Sanchez and Hip Hippy Shake collided on the first turn.  Owlette and Doused In Mud collided on the first turn.
