A pre-race sample was taken from Shakalaka.
Red Taltarni underwent a veterinary examination prior to racing and was passed fit to race.
Emma Banjo was quick to begin. Indigenous Lee, Toolleen Town and Invictus Roy were slow to begin. Red Taltarni, Toolleen Town and Arlington collided soon after the start. Invictus Roy raced wide approaching the home turn. Arlington and Emma Banjo collided on the home turn. Arlington and Shakalaka collided on the home turn.
Red Taltarni underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have diarrhoea. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
