Steward's Report
Jim Zarr Dashian and Hot Finish collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Why Not Paps, Jim Zarr Dashian, Kilpatrick and Onions O'Reilly collided approaching the first turn checking Kilpatrick. Jim Zarr Dashian checked off Ma's Plum Jam on the third turn. Why Not Paps shifted in entering the home straight, and Dyna Aakil shifted out entering the home straight, causing Dyan Aakil to become unbalanced.
Stewards reviewed the racing incident between Why Not Paps and Dyna Aakil in the home straight. Acting on their own observations, as well as the side and head on footage, Stewards determined the incident occurred due to Why Not Paps shifting in entering the home straight, and Dyan Aakil simultaneously shifting out, which caused Dyan Aakil to become unbalanced. Stewards also took into account submissions from the trainer of Dyan Aakil, Mr D Gibbons, and were satisfied with his explanation of the incident. Stewards took no action against either greyhound.
A post-race sample was taken from Dyna Aakil - winner of the event.
