A pre-race sample was taken from Dewana Fair Go.
Dewana Fair Go and Chill Out Dusty were slow to begin. Akina Harley was very slow to begin (4 lengths). Run Like Rhys, Chill Out Dusty and Our Blue Spolly collided soon after the start. Our Blue Spolly crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Run Like Rhys and Consider It Done. Consider It Done was checked off Run Like Rhys approaching the first turn. Flashy De Goey, Dewana Fair Go and Run Like Rhys collided on the first turn checking Dewana Fair Go and severely checking Run Like Rhys and Flashy De Goey, Flashy De Goey contacted the running rail as a result. Run Like Rhys and Heidi Intention collided entering the home straight.
Flashy De Goey underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising over the left shoulder and an injured left track leg. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
