Steward's Report
Kiss Me Razley – Late scratching at 12.30pm when Mr G Mannion reported the greyhound to have right wrist injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. Mr Mannion advised Stewards that he was unable to scratch the greyhound on fasttrack and attempted to contact GRV head office this morning but was unsuccessful.
A pre-race sample was taken from Max Pick.
As Only Is and Mr. Rain Maker collided soon after the start. Max Pick and Cosmic Chieftain collided soon after the start. As Only Is, Cosmic Chieftain and Valletta Mist collided on the first turn. Mr. Rain Maker checked off As Only Is on the first turn causing Mr. Rain Maker and Max Pick to race wide. Oddjob Lad and Macs Road collided approaching the second turn. As Only Is, Macs Road and Valletta Mist collided on the second turn checking all three greyhounds and causing Valletta Mist and Max Pick to collide severely checking both greyhounds.
