Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Starr Paws.
Orwell Bale, Cawbourne Gout and Nevilla Bale collided soon after the start checking Cawbourne Gout. Orwell Bale and Starr Paws collided on the first turn severely checking Starr Paws which lost ground as a result. Fabriola Citrus and Nevilla Bale collided on the second turn. Orwell Bale checked off Fabriola Citrus in the back straight. Fabriola Citrus and Orwell Bale collided on the third turn. Cawbourne Gout marred Fernando Sam approaching the winning post.
Starr Paws underwent a post-race veterinary examination was found to have injuries to the left deltoid muscle and left chest muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Cawbourne Gout underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration on the right fore metacarpal and right elbow. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms Mandy Shaw the representative for Cawbourne Gout regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Cawbourne Gout was charged with marring. Ms Shaw pleaded guilty to the charge, Cawbourne Gout is suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
