Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Awesome Grit.
Tiggerlong Ginga went up with the lids at box rise.
Rainbow Spirit, Stareena, Tiggerlong Ginga and Alcott collided soon after the start checking Tiggerlong Ginga. Awesome Grit galloped on Tiggerlong Ginga approaching the first turn. Major Bourbski and Stareena collided approaching the first turn. Tiggerlong Ginga and Awesome Grit collided on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds which raced wide as a result. Major Bourbski and Stareena collided on the second turn.
Awesome Grit underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury and sand toe on the right hind toe. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
