Osiris Child and Dewana Classic were slow to begin.
Impending and Kraken Buster collided soon after the start. Fast Izzi, Impending and Kraken Buster collided approaching the first turn checking Impending and Kraken Buster. Ayo Joy and Fast Izzi collided on the first turn checking Fast Izzi. Impending and Kraken Buster collided on the first turn. Impending and Ayo Joy collided on the second turn. Impending contacted the running rail in the home straight and lost ground checking Ayo Joy.
Fast Izzi underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right detoid and right pecoral muscles. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
