Seven Enemies and Akina Harley were slow to begin. Aston Valkyrie and Skittle collided approaching the first turn. Seven Enemies brushed the running rail on the first turn. Aston Valkyrie and Josie's Entity collided on the first turn severely checking Josie's Entity and Show Of Force, checking Seven Enemies, Akina Harley and Charley Davidson; Josie's Entity fell as a result. Aston Valkyrie raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Josie's Entity underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
