Steward's Report
The start of this race was amended from 5:07pm to 6:12pm.
Aston Aniston was slow to begin. Zipping Storm eased on the first turn. Gloria Bale and Scott Something collided on the first turn. Scott Something, Broken Pieces and Mi Roma collided on the first turn checking Mi Roma. Happy Tails and Broken Pieces collided on the second turn and again approaching the home turn.
Zipping Storm underwent a post-race race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising over the left thigh. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Smoor, the trainer of Zipping Storm regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Zipping Storm was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Smoor pleaded not guilty to the charge, Zipping Storm was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
