The start of this race was amended from 2:32pm to 3:42pm.
Lightning Artist, Golden Gift and Zipping Aspen collided soon after the start checking Lightning Artist. Quicker Than Joe and Winlock Kin collided approaching the first turn. Lightning Artist, I'm Demanding and Golden Gift collided approaching the home turn. I'm Demanding visibly eased and collided with Golden Gift on the home turn checking I'm Demanding. Quicker Than Joe and Winlock Kin collided in the home straight.
I'm Demanding underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left fore shin soreness,and a minor abrasion on the left hind paw, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mrs. Y. Andrews, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), I'm Demanding was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs. Andrews pleaded guilty to the charge, I'm Demanding must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
