Claretown Trixie – New declared weight of 26.8kg, last raced at 28.6kg.
Magic Shout was slow to begin. Midnight Hawk and Lightning Blue collided on the first turn. Claretown Trixie checked off Lightning Blue on the home turn. Magic Shout raced wide entering the home straight. Wild Brutality and Wrangle collided several times in the home straight, severely checking both greyhounds, causing Wild Brutality to pull up. Magic Oyster and Lightning Blue collided in the home straight.
Wild Brutality underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hip injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Magic Shout underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
