A pre-race sample was taken from Be Careful Boss.
Absolute Pin, Crashing Lil and Gentleman Thief were quick to begin. Quintana Jive and It's A Tiger were slow to begin.
Crashing Lil and Gentleman Thief collided on the first turn. It's A Tiger, Be Careful Boss and Lady Audacious raced wide on the first turn. Be Careful Boss and Lady Audacious raced wide on the home turn. Crashing Lil visibly eased on the home turn and again entering the home straight checking Gentleman Thief. Crashing Lil visibly eased approaching the winning post and collided with Akina Blaze.
Crashing Lil underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Miss R. Silva, the representative of Crashing Lil regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn, entering the home straight and approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Crashing Lil was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Miss Silva pleaded guilty to the charge, Crashing Lil is suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
