Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Mahjong Nickel.
Dewana Classic was quick to begin. Mahjong Nickel and Bold was slow to begin.
Space Trucking and Up And About collided on the first turn. Dewana Classic raced wide on the first turn checking Dundee Specture and Bold. Dundee Specture and Mahjong Nickel collided approaching the second turn severely checking Dundee Specture in turn checking Bold. Space Trucking checked off Segovia's Dream on the second turn causing Space Trucking and Up And About to collide. Space Trucking veered out on the home turn and marred Segovia's Dream in turn checking Up And About and severely Mahjong Nickel and Segovia's Dream as a result.
Space Trucking underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr S. Van orischot, the trainer of Space Trucking regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Space Trucking was charged with marring. Mr Van orischot pleaded guilty to the charge, Space Trucking is suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
