Steward's Report
Kilpatrick and Extra Speed were slow to begin.
Rosie Cotton and Go Twenty Two collided soon after the start. Rosie Cotton and Extra Speed collided soon after the start. Extra Speed, Rosie Cotton and Go Twenty Two collided on the first turn checking Extra Speed, severely checking Go Twenty Two and Yindi Girl Turbo causing both greyhounds to race wide. Eastside and Kilpatrick collided on the second turn. Go Twenty Two and Yindi Girl Turbo collided approaching the home turn. Yindi Girl Turbo marred Go Twenty Two approaching the home turn.
Yindi Girl Turbo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind laceration. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mrs A. Langton, the representative of Yindi Girl Turbo regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Yindi Girl Turbo was charged with marring. Mrs Langton pleaded guilty to the charge, Yindi Girl Turbo is suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Curiouser - winner of the event.
GRV Investigators conducted a check of catcher’s licences in accordance with LR 16.2 and all were compliant.
