Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Hip Hippy Shake.
Romeo Lad and Sarcasmic were slow to begin.
Bejarano and Dundee Ace collided soon after the start. Hip Hippy Shake and Lightwood Lass collided approaching the first turn. Lightwood Lass and Bejarno collided on the first turn. Dundee Ace and Dewana Milkshake collided on the first turn and raced wide. Matilda Mikado and Sarcasmic collided on the third turn checking Matilda Mikado. Lightwood Lass raced wide in the back straight. Sarcasmic and Dundee Ace collided entering the home straight checking Sarcasmic. Romeo Lad and Lightwood Lass raced wide in the home straight. Lightwood Lass faltered in the home straight and lost ground.
Lightwood Lass underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found have a left hock fracture/dislocation and a left hind lost/torn nail. A 90 day stand down period ws imposed.
Following race 7, Stewards inspected a section of the track in the home straight and deemed it satisfactory for racing.
