Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Goodnight Vicki.
Harrell Bale and Maddie Zorro were quick to begin.
Lori Love stumbled at box rise and crossed to the outside soon after the start and collided with Lee Ali as a result. Lee Ali, Goodnight Vicki and Farmor Watchers collided on the first turn. Farmor Watchers lost ground on the second turn. Harrell Bale and Lori Love collided on the home turn. Lee Ali and Maddie Zorro collided approaching the winning post.
Farmor Watchers underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left pectoral muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to licensed Trainer, Mr Peter Akathiotis, after he placed greyhound "Lori Love" drawn in Box 3 into Box 2 during the line-up for this event. This was corrected by Mr. Akathiotis prior to the start of the race after Steward - Mr. Brayden Jinks, directed Mr. Akathiotis remove the greyhound and place "Lori Love" in its correct drawn box. Stewards charged Mr. P. Akathiotis pursuant to GAR 86(o) with negligence for placing "Lori Love" in an incorrect Box prior to the start of this event. Mr. Akathiotis pleaded guilty to the charge. Stewards found Mr. Akathiotis guilty as charged and after taking into consideration his submissions to the Stewards and his record in the industry, issued a fine of $100.
