Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

Tinsel Doll checked off Ultra Lightbeam on the second turn.

Oscar The Scout, Aston Athena, Brilliant Jet and Midnight Hawk were slow to begin.

Oscar The Scout, Aston Athena and Brilliant Jet collided on the first turn checking Aston Athena and Brilliant Jet. Who Is Arandt and Midnight Hawk collided on the first turn checking Midnight Hawk. Midnight Hawk underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right triangle muscle. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Miss Klara, Zipping Samara, Run By Night, Larrakeyah Lady and Definite Signs collided on the first turn checking Zipping Samara, Larrakeyah Lady, Definite Signs, Legasov Bale and Angie Ling. Miss Klara and Zipping Samara collided on the third turn checking Miss Klara, Zipping Samara, Legasov Bale and Definite Signs. Zipping Samara and Angie Ling collided on the home turn. Stewards spoke to licensed Trainer, Ms D Carr, and licensed Handler, Ms J Rowe, regarding the boxing manners of Burning Eddy for this Event.  Stewards will monitor the boxing behaviour of Burning Eddy at future starts.

Kraken Pennys and Be So Good were quick to begin.

Kissable and Gigi's Fire collided approaching the first turn. Kraken Pennys checked off Be So Good on the first turn and collided with Keeping Busy as a result. Kurri Kurri, Kissable and Gigi's Fire collided on the first turn. Manitoba, Kraken Pennys and Keeping Busy collided on the second turn checking Kraken Pennys. Manitoba and Keeping Busy collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Manitoba and Kissable collided on the home turn.

Fancy Francene was quick to begin. Inga Ollie was slow to begin.

Kraken Bam Bam was quick to begin. Sprint Gordon and Nadali were slow to begin. Debbie's Destiny stumbled at box rise and was slow to begin.

They Love Me and Birdwood Marshall collided approaching the first turn checking They Love Me. Nadali and Birdwood Marshall collided approaching the first turn. Kraken Bam Bam and Birdwood Marshall collided on the first turn and again on the second turn. Kraken Bam Bam, Birdwood Marshall, Star Night and Sprint Gordon collided in the back straight checking Birdwood Marshall and Star Night, severely checking Sprint Gordon. Star Night and Sprint Gordon collided approaching the home turn and again in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Goodnight Vicki.

Harrell Bale and Maddie Zorro were quick to begin.

Lori Love stumbled at box rise and crossed to the outside soon after the start and collided with Lee Ali as a result. Lee Ali, Goodnight Vicki and Farmor Watchers collided on the first turn. Farmor Watchers lost ground on the second turn. Harrell Bale and Lori Love collided on the home turn. Lee Ali and Maddie Zorro collided approaching the winning post.

Farmor Watchers underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left pectoral muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to licensed Trainer, Mr Peter Akathiotis, after he placed greyhound "Lori Love" drawn in Box 3 into Box 2 during the line-up for this event.  This was corrected by Mr. Akathiotis prior to the start of the race after Steward - Mr. Brayden Jinks, directed Mr. Akathiotis remove the greyhound and place "Lori Love" in its correct drawn box.  Stewards charged Mr. P. Akathiotis pursuant to GAR 86(o) with negligence for placing "Lori Love" in an incorrect Box prior to the start of this event. Mr. Akathiotis pleaded guilty to the charge.  Stewards found Mr. Akathiotis guilty as charged and after taking into consideration his submissions to the Stewards and his record in the industry, issued a fine of $100.
