Lap It Up and Big Boy Paddy were slow to begin.
Mirror Max and On Key collided at the 300m mark. Mirror Max and Big Boy Paddy collided at the 300m mark causing Big Boy Paddy to fall checking Blazin' Bulla. Lap It Up and By Your Side collided at the 275m mark. Mirror Max and On Key collided at the 275m mark. On Key galloped on Mirror Max at the 50m mark severely checking Mirror Max which stumbled and lost ground.
Mirror Max underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left tarsal fracture. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
Big Boy Paddy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right monkey, right chest and left pencil, and concussion. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
