Steward's Report
Petra Bale, Red Hot Lady, Serious Mayhem, Darley Park and Electric Mick collided soon after the start checking Petra Bale, Red Hot Lady and Serious Mayhem. Premier Maggie shifted out and collided with Floppy Roo soon after the start. Premier Maggie and Floppy Roo collided approaching the 200m mark. Lightfoot Lass and Electric Mick collided at the 200m mark checking Lightfoot Lass and Petra Bale which stumbled. Premier Maggie checked off Floppy Roo at the 100m mark. Floppy Roo visibly eased, crossed out and collided with Darley Park approaching the winning post checking Darley Park.
Floppy Roo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid muscle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Colin Baker, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Floppy Roo was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Baker pleaded guilty to the charge, Floppy Roo must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
