Steward's Report
Tiggerlong Ginga went up with the lids and was slow to begin. Bobby The Brute and All Over Max were slow to begin. Who Cry Now and Ellias Bale collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Bobby The Brute and Ellias Bale collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Ellias Bale and Who Cry Now. East Street, Dyna Xervo and Cursed collided on the first turn checking All Over Max, Ellias Bale and Who Cry Now, severely checking Tiggerlong Ginga and Dyna Xervo causing both greyhounds to stumble. Cursed and Bobby The Brute collided on the third turn. Cursed eased approaching the home turn and collided with Bobby The Brute. Who Cry Now checked off Cursed on the home turn checking Bobby The Brute. All Over Max checked off Cursed on the home turn. Ellias Bale and All Over Max collided in the home straight. East Street and Cursed collided approaching the winning post.
Dyna Xervo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustaineda spike wound to the left hind, no stand down period was imposed.
Cursed was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to Mr N Jones (representing Trainer - Mr A Azzopardi) of Cursed regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1), Cursed was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Jones pleaded guilty to the charge, Cursed is suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
