Steward's Report
Pandora's Proof and Inga Ollie were quick to begin. Sarcasmic was slow to begin.
Mississippi Mud, Sulva Bay and Veritaserum collided soon after the start checking Mississippi Mud and Sulva Bay. Frankenstein checked off Pandora's Proof approaching the first turn. Sarcasmic and Zipping Murphy collided on the first turn. Pandora's Proof checked off Sarcasmic on the first turn. Veritaserum and Zipping Murphy collided approaching the home turn. Frankenstein and Sulva Bay collided on the home turn. Veritaserum visibly eased and turned its head inwards approaching the winning post.
Veritaserum underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to representative/owner Mrs L Cockerell regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Veritaserum was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs Cockerell pleaded guilty to the charge, Veritaserum is suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
