Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Parade Bree Elston did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way affected the outcome of this event.
Big Leigh, Holey Dollar and Airly Pablo collided soon after the start checking Holey Dollar. Whiskey Blues and Big Leigh collided approaching the first turn checking Big Leigh. Omega Hondo and Unleash Betty collided approaching the home turn. Whiskey Blues checked off Unleash Betty approaching the home turn. Holey Dollar checked off Whiskey Blues approaching the home turn. Unleash Betty and Holey Dollar collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds. Omega Hondo turned it's head inwards in the home straight and collided with Madalia Phoebe.
Unleash Betty underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Omega Hondo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Barry Harper the trainer of Omega Hondo, regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1) Omega Hondo was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Harper pleaded guilty to the charge, Omega Hondo must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
