Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

General Collinda and Drakari were quick to begin.  Madalia Pixie, Walk With Grace and Our Katie Rose collided soon after the start checking Walk With Grace. Our Katie Rose, Madalia Pixie and Thunder Spolly collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Magic Voyage checked off Battle Symphony on the first turn.  Magic Voyage and Our Katie Rose collided on the first turn causing Our Katie Rose to brush the running rail.

Dr. Francisco - Late scratching at 12:45pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to an infection in the left foreleg.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Dr. Gretchen and Woorarra Warrior collided soon after the start.  Dr. Davinci checked off Snooker Que entering the back straight.  Never Simple and Dr. Gretchen collided on the second turn checking Never Simple, Woorarra Warrior and Dr. Davinci.

Collinda Beast was quick to begin.  Lika Lottie and Broadway Benny were slow to begin.  Carrie checked off Eclipse Star approaching the first turn.  Airly Cleaner and Carrie collided on the first turn checking Airly Cleaner, Carrie and Broadway Benny.  Airly Cleaner, Carrie and Broadway Benny collided on the home turn.  Airly Cleaner and Carrie collided in the home straight.

Macalister Tiger was quick to begin.  Stay At Home was slow to begin.  Mighty Marshall and Carter Senor collided approaching the first turn checking Carter Senor.  Carter Senor and Stay At Home collided on the first turn checking Stay At Home. Macalister Tiger, Mighty Marshall, Shady Tex and Imperial Jack collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds.  Stay At Home checked off Shady Tex on the first turn.

Macalister Tiger underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the right front foot.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

She Wiggles and Panda Rose collided entering the back straight checking Panda Rose.  She Wiggles and Panda Rose collided in the back straight.  Cullquin Freya checked off She Wiggles on the second turn.  She Wiggles, Panda Rose and Black Que collided approaching the home turn checking She Wiggles and Panda Rose.  Larkhill Pryor crossed out on the home turn and collided with Black Que checking both greyhounds.

Dirty Max, Kingfisher Rose and Cacophony collided soon after the start checking Kingfisher Rose.  Kingfisher Rose and Beatrice collided on the home turn checking Kingfisher Rose.  Beatrice and Mighty Matilda collided in the home straight.  Swift Timing and Cacophony collided in the home straight.

Kingfisher Rose underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a minor webbing injury - no stand down period was imposed.

What's Up Skip and Whodat Dare were quick to begin.  Zipping Wade was slow to begin.  What's Up Skip, Whodat Dare, Old Town Road, Sapphire Power and Special Kirst collided on the first turn checking Whodat Dare, Old Town Road, Sapphire Power and Special Kirst.  Old Town Road and Special Kirst collided on the second turn.  Whodat Dare checked off Old Town Road on the second turn.  Whodat Dare and Old Town Road collided in the home straight.

A post-race sample was taken from Zipping Wade - the winner of the event.

Due to the kennel being incorrectly secured Henessey Venom escaped from it's kennel prior to racing. Henessey Venom was vetted prior to the running of Race 8 and passed fit to race, the following incident has been referred to management.

Immediate and Jackson County were slow to begin.  Henessey Venom, Just Lovin' It and Audacious Grace collided entering the back straight checking Just Lovin' It severely checking Audacious Grace and Jackson County.  My Attitude and Shantelle Rose collided on the home turn checking My Attitude.  Immediate and Zipping Pink collided several times on the home turn.  Just Lovin' It turned it's head outwards in the home straight and collided with Zipping Pink checking Immediate and Zipping Pink.

Zipping Pink underwent a post-race veterinary examination -  no apparent injury was reported.

Just Lovin' It underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 10.  Just Lovin' It was found to have a right monkey muscle injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr. Steve Healey representative of Just Lovin' It, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Just Lovin' It was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Healey pleaded not guilty to the charge.  Just Lovin' It was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Unleash Betty underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Omega Hondo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr. Barry Harper the trainer of Omega Hondo, regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1) Omega Hondo was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Harper pleaded guilty to the charge, Omega Hondo must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Flywheel Frankey was slow to begin.  Biggest Star and Honey Bourbon collided on the first turn checking Biggest Star and Flywheel Frankey.  All Hollywood checked off Flywheel Storm on the first turn checking Ranger Rose which in turn checked Honey Bourbon and Avenger Spolly.  Ranger Rose and Flywheel Storm collided entering the home straight.

Victor Leone checked off Bomber's Queen on the first turn. Madalia Daisy checked off Bomber's Queen on the first turn.  Bomber's Queen and Victor Leone collided on the home turn.  It's A Date crossed out on the home turn.

St. Leo was slow to begin.  Soda King, Foxy Princess and Soda Maxi collided soon after the start and several times approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Sacred Path and Gee Dalton collided on the first turn checking Sacred Path.  Xenia Bale checked off Soda King on the first turn.  Foxy Princess galloped on Xenia Bale approaching the home turn checking Foxy Princess.

Foxy Princess underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have split webbing on the right foreleg.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
