Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Drew, the representative of Aston Ninja, regarding the scratching of the greyhound in tonight's event. Mr. Drew stated that Aston Ninja pulled up lame after he had worked the greyhound late Monday. Mr. Drew added that the greyhound was still lame the following day and it was his intention to retire the greyhound from racing. Stewards noted Mr. Drew's comments and took no further action.
Slingshot Reaper– New declared weight of 29.9 kg's, last raced at 28.8 kg's.
Saintly Jack was quick to begin. Aston Mirage crossed to the rails on the first turn checking Dim Sim, Saintly Jack and Slingshot Reaper and severely checking Zipping Norton. Slingshot Reaper checked off Aston Mirage on the first turn causing Wilbur Deeds to gallop on Slingshot Reaper, checking Slingshot Reaper and Wilbur Deeds. Dim Sim and Wilbur Deeds collided in the home straight.
A post-race blood sample was taken from Aston Mirage - the winner of the event.
