Pontiac Icon and Twilight Psycho were slow to begin. Tough Like Atom and Ready collided soon after the start checking Ready. Low Planes and Tough Like Atom collided soon after the start checking Tough Like Atom. Twilight Psycho checked off Ready approaching the first turn. Pontiac Icon checked off Low Planes on the first turn checking Input Girl, Ready and Twilight Psycho. Pontiac Icon checked off Tough Like Atom approaching the winning post. Twilight Psycho checked off Input Girl approaching the winning post checking Ready.

A post-race sample was taken from Soda Charlie, winner of the event.

A sample was taken from Nimble Nala upon arrival at the course.

A pre-race sample was taken from Bags On Shazza.

Stewards conducted a check of catcher’s licences in accordance with LR 16.2 and all were compliant.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Parade Steward,  Mr. G. Glass did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event. 

Red On Black was slow to begin.

Bags On Shazza and Totally Know collided approaching the first turn checking Totally Know. Angry Answer and Bags On Shazza collided approaching the first turn. Red On Black, Kraken Bo and Totally Know collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Nimble Nala and Angry Answer collided approaching the home turn checking Angry Answer. Angry Answer checked off Close To Carnage approaching the home turn. Close To Carnage tired over the concluding stages of the event.

Totally Know underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have mild dehydration and to have knocked scabs from wounds to the left metacarpals. No stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Strike.

Kinloch Breeze and Paganini were quick to begin.

Aston Talks was slow to begin.

More Wit and Zipping Aspen collided soon after the start. Paganini and Zulu Smoke collided on the first turn. More Wit galloped on Aston Talks and Zulu Smoke entering the home straight checking both greyhounds. Strike and Kinloch Breeze collided in the home straight. Kinloch Breeze turned it's head outwards and marred Bring Your Banjo approaching the winning post checking Bring Your Banjo.

Kinloch Breeze underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Andrews, the handler of Kinloch Breeze regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Winloch Breeze was charged with marring. Mr. Andrews pleaded guilty to the charge, Winloch Breeze is suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A sample was taken from Hunter's Moon at the Trainer’s kennel earlier today. 

Zipping Hilton and Spring Typhoon collided soon after the start checking Zipping Hilton. Work Zone, Gotta Exceed and Stacey Bott collided approaching the first turn checking Stacey Bott. Zipping Hilton checked off Jaimandy Spider approaching the home turn. Akashi Boy and Spring Typhoon collided on the home turn. Stacey Bott contacted the running rail in the home straight, severely checking Stacey Bott.

Stacey Bott underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the inside of the left hind limb. A stand down period of 21 days was imposed.

All Bling was slow to begin.

Pure Cool Titan and Outlaw Donny collided several times approaching the first turn. Pure Cool Titan, Platelayer and Winlock Squints collided approaching the first turn checking Platelayer. All Bling galloped on Platelayer on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Pure Cool Titan, Winlock Squints and Spring Hummer collided approaching the home turn checking Spring Hummer, Outlaw Donny and Rod Vader.

Grudge was slow to begin.

Tampico and Alta Linea collided approaching the first turn checking Alta Linea. Just Burning checked off Crackerjack Roy on the first turn. Tampico and Just Burning collided on the home turn checking Just Burning. Just Burning galloped on Crackerjack Roy entering the home straight checking Just Burning.

Lektra Swing and Ikon Parker collided on the first turn checking Ikon Parker, Macs Model and Amy Amour. Valhalla Girl checked off Amy Amour approaching the home turn. Slingshot Storm and Amy Amour collided on the home turn checking Slingshot Storm. Macs Model and Slingshot Storm collided entering the home straight checking Slingshot Storm, Scott Confused and Valhalla Girl.

Half Proven - Late scratching at 2:30pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a right toenail injury. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Belle's On Boost and Yondu were slow to begin.

Kraken Tan clipped the heels of Dyna Elise approaching the first turn checking Uprising and severely checking Kraken Tan which fell as a result. Gendarme galloped on Dyna Elise on the first turn checking Gendarme. Uprising checked off Zero To Hero approaching the home turn. Zero To Hero and Belle's On Boost collided approaching the home turn checking Zero To Hero. Gendarme, Belle's On Boost and Zero To Hero collided on the home turn checking Belle's On Boost. Zero To Hero and Gendarme collided entering the home straight checking Zero To Hero.

Kraken Tan underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion over the right metacarpal and bruising under the chin. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed.

Through and Aston Jagger collided soon after the start checking Aston Jagger. You Blue, Through, Aston Jagger and Abby Boom collided approaching the first turn checking Through and Aston Jagger. You Blue and Abby Boom collided on the first turn checking Abby Boom. You Blue checked off Bear Left approaching the home turn.

Blue Odessa was quick to begin.

Cullquin Panda was slow to begin.

Meeting Comments:-

Queen Of Promise – In accordance with GAR 73, presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling as the greyhound was found to be injured at Shepparton on 12/8/19. Queen Of Promise was examined by the on-track veterinarian and found to be not free from injury. Queen Of Promise was not cleared to race. 

Trials:-

The following greyhounds performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial – The trial took place over 390m with 3 required to trial. The winning time of trial was 22.65:

Hoo Gur Affair finished 4th, Mo Dragon finished 1st and Todd Bless finished 2nd

Hoo Gur Affair - Performed a whelping trial from box 1, weighing 30.9kg, Hoo Gur Affair completed the distance in a time of 23.20 and was beaten 8.25L. Hoo Gur Affair was cleared to race. 

Mo Dragon –  The greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to injury. Weighing 36.4kg and beginning from box 3, Mo Dragon completed the distance in a time of 22.65 winning by 2.5L. Mo Dragon has been cleared to race.

Todd Bless – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to right shoulder injury. Weighing 33.3kg and beginning from box 8, Todd Bless completed the 390m trial distance in a time of 22.65. Todd Bless placed 2nd in a field of four starters beaten by 2.5 lengths. Todd Bless has been cleared to race.
