Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Strike.
Kinloch Breeze and Paganini were quick to begin.
Aston Talks was slow to begin.
More Wit and Zipping Aspen collided soon after the start. Paganini and Zulu Smoke collided on the first turn. More Wit galloped on Aston Talks and Zulu Smoke entering the home straight checking both greyhounds. Strike and Kinloch Breeze collided in the home straight. Kinloch Breeze turned it's head outwards and marred Bring Your Banjo approaching the winning post checking Bring Your Banjo.
Kinloch Breeze underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Andrews, the handler of Kinloch Breeze regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Winloch Breeze was charged with marring. Mr. Andrews pleaded guilty to the charge, Winloch Breeze is suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Kinloch Breeze, winner of the event.
