Steward's Report
Crymelon Kit - Late scratching at 6.05pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Soda Ashlee and Kintamani were slow to begin.
Charlotte Allen, Kintamani and Blazin' Stripes collided on the first turn checking Charlotte Allen and Kintamani. Midnight Storm visably eased approaching the home turn checking Soda Ashlee, Blazin' Stripes and Charlotte Allen.
Midnight Storm underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury and a left quadriceps muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr R Ferris Trainer, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Midnight Storm was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Ferris pleaded not guilty to the charge, Midnight Storm was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
