Steward's Report
Slingshot Lilham was slow to begin.
Betty Bowl and Sofie Gogolac collided on the first turn checking Sofie Gogolac, Ulyssa Bale and Slingshot Lilham. Betty Bowl and Simmo Gogolac collided approaching the home turn checking Betty Bowl and Nella Bale. Ulyssa Bale turned it’s head, veered outwards and marred Betty Bowl entering the home straight and severely checking Betty Bowl. Betty Bowl and Ulyssa Bale collided in the home straight checking Betty Bowl.
Ulyssa Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury and a right thigh muscle injury. A 14day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr D Gibbons, the handler of Ulyssa Bale regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Ulyssa Bale was charged with marring. Mr Gibbons pleaded guilty to the charge, Ulyssa Bale is suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
