Emperor Apple and Hong Kong Apple collided soon after the start. Big Plans and Take A Daisy collided on the first turn checking Take A Daisy and Hong Kong Apple. Big Plans and Ain't No One collided on the first turn checking Ain't No One and Bush Soldier. Emperor Apple raced wide on the home turn checking Hong Kong Apple. Ain't No One and Bush Soldier collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds. Take A Daisy faulted approaching the winning post and lost ground as a result.
Take A Daisy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury and a lumbo-sacal injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
