Take A Daisy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury and a lumbo-sacal injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

The Fixed Odds market with the TAB temporarily displayed Enya Bale (5) as being a late scratching from Race 2 at Ballarat this afternoon, for a short time. It was not a late scratching. Both FastTrack and Pari-Mutual Betting did not have this error and were showing as correct, in that Enya Bale was a confirmed starter. The TAB rectified the matter within their fixed odds system. The race proceeded as advertised.

Crymelon Kit - Late scratching at 6.05pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Soda Ashlee and Kintamani were slow to begin.

Charlotte Allen, Kintamani and Blazin' Stripes collided on the first turn checking Charlotte Allen and Kintamani. Midnight Storm visably eased approaching the home turn checking Soda Ashlee, Blazin' Stripes and Charlotte Allen.

Midnight Storm underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury and a left quadriceps muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer Mr R Ferris Trainer, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Midnight Storm was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Ferris pleaded not guilty to the charge, Midnight Storm was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Slingshot Lilham was slow to begin.

Betty Bowl and Sofie Gogolac collided on the first turn checking Sofie Gogolac, Ulyssa Bale and Slingshot Lilham. Stewards spoke to Mr D Gibbons, the handler of Ulyssa Bale regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Ulyssa Bale was charged with marring. Mr Gibbons pleaded guilty to the charge, Ulyssa Bale is suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

The start of this race was re-scheduled from 7.18 PM to 7.20 PM as requested by TAB. 

Marlise Bale – New declared weight of 26.9kgs last raced at 25.0kgs due to having a spell.

Ragin' Comet and Heart Beats True collided soon after the start checking Ragin' Comet. Bags On Shazza and Midnight Hussler collided soon after the start checking Midnight Hussler. Ragin' Comet and Heart Beats True collided on the first turn checking Ragin' Comet. Midnight Hussler and Mitta Mitta collided approaching the home turn and severely checking Mitta Mitta. Ophira Bale placed 2nd in a field of 4 starters beaten by neck. Ophira Bale has been not cleared to race after visably easing in the home straight.
