Steward's Report
A sample was taken from Sub Zero Magic upon arrival at the course.
Mr C Grenfell was issued with a warning pursuant to GAR 86(o) after the greyhound Dyna Eleana was negligently placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. The kennel staff were reminded of their responsibilities to ensure greyhounds are kennelled correctly. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration.
Tat Warby and Dyna Eleana were slow to begin.
Golden Fernanda and Magic Panther collided soon after the start. Sub Zero Magic, Golden Fernanda and Magic Panther collided soon after the start checking Golden Fernanda and Magic Panther. Kiowa Kaema and In Orbit collided soon after the start. In Orbit, Kiowa Kaema, Chief Long Face and Dyna Eleana collided approaching the first turn severely checking Chief Long Face. Tat Warby, Kiowa Kaema and Dyna Eleana collided on the first turn checking Kiowa Kaema and Dyna Eleana. Dyna Eleana tired in the home straight.
Dyna Eleana underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock sprain and a right back muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Chief Long Face underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hind foot spike wound. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
