Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Winlock Intent. Zipping Stan and Zipping Navy were quick to begin
Lightning Ben, Miss Pocket Aces Fernando's Boy collided soon after the start. Miss Pocket Aces and Winlock Intent collided approaching the first turn. Zipping Stan, Zipping Navy, Fernando's Boy, Dimitrov and Die Laughing collided on the first turn checking Fernando's Boy, Dimitrov, Die Laughing and Miss Pocket Aces.
Dimitrov underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Post-race samples were taken from Zipping Stan (1st), Lightning Ben (2nd) and Zipping Navy (3rd).
Stewards reviewed the CCTV footage of the kennel bay security post-race. Whilst the kennel bay gate was left open and unattended Stewards ascertained that no person entered the kennel bay. The Club kennel attendants were reminded of their responsibilites to ensure access to the kennels is secure at all times.
