Steward's Report
Imperial Jack - Late scratching at 2:45 pm, due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Ms Melanie Lithgow was fined $100.
A pre-race sample was taken from Solar Tiny.
Honey Eclipse checked off Dashing Pedro on the first turn. Sudden Force and Solar Tiny collided on the first turn. Get Go Boy galloped on the heels of Sudden Force approaching the home turn, checking Get Go Boy, Sudden Force and Sixteen Pegs. Solar Tiny visably eased approaching the home turn, checking Sudden Force. Solar Tiny raced wide on the home turn, checking Sudden Force and Honey Eclipse.
Solar Tiny underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hip injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Victor Millington, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Solar Tiny was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Millington pleaded guilty to the charge, Solar Tiny must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
