Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Bartlett, the handler of Fabelite regarding the number of starts the greyhound has had between the 28th of June to the 9th of July (12 days-4starts). Mr. Bartlett stated that Fabelite had only worked in the exercise runs between race starts and in his opinion the greyhound is sound for racing.

Saint Ray was quick to begin.  Someone Blue and Aston Lagonda were slow to begin.

Fabelite and Aston Lagonda collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking both greyhounds.  Saint Ray and Aston Lagonda collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.  Fabelite raced wide on the home turn.

Fabelite underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Coco Baroque and Staggermite were slow to begin.

Come On Serenity and Hunter's Moon collided soon after the start.  Hunter's Moon, Coco Baroque and Staggermite collided approaching the first turn, checking Coco Baroque.  Come On Serenity checked off Coco Baroque on the first turn.  Hunter's Moon galloped on the heels of  Lightning Lillie approaching the home turn, checking Lightning Lillie and Come On Serenity; severely checking Hunter's Moon, which fell.  Coco Baroque and Staggermite collided several times in the home straight, checking both greyhounds.

Hunter's Moon underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg pencil/whip injury.  A three day stand down period was imposed.

Chasing Rex was slow to begin.

Defendant stumbled soon after the start and lost ground as a result.  Athena's Warrior, Sayonara Sweetie and Iceni Mayhem collided on the first turn, checking Sayonara Sweetie, Iceni Mayhem and Defendant.  Athena's Warrior raced wide on the home turn.

A sample was taken from Giggling Gerty upon arrival at the course.

Turanza Tiger was slow to begin.

Atlas Shiralee, Serene Machine, Tezzalenko and Jacobite Hammer collided on the first turn, checking Tezzalenko and Jacobite Hammer.  Kraken Buster and Atlas Shiralee collided on the first turn, checking Atlas Shiralee.  Tezzalenko raced wide approaching the home turn, checking Jacobite Hammer.  Lektra Perry and Come On Eleanor collided entering the home straight.  Lektra Perry and King Lorrimer collided approaching the winning post, checking King Lorrimer.

Lektra Perry underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right hock.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Kraken Buster underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg toe injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Wally Milne was slow to begin.  Found In Quartz checked off Jar Man soon after the start.  Kraken Witch, Dyna Yella and Invictus Coco collided on the first turn, checking Dyna Yella and Invcitus Coco.  Found In Quartz contacted the running rail on the first turn, checking Wally Milne.  Awesome Shep checked off Jar Man in the home straight.

Found In Quartz underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Atarah was slow to begin.

Billy Moran checked off Serendipity Gold approaching the first turn.  Gotham Queen faltered on the first turn, lost considerable ground and tailed off.  Midnight Train and Serendipity Gold collided on the first turn, checking Serendipity Gold.  Aston Valetta checked off Wharfies Girl approaching the home turn.  Atarah checked off Serendipity Gold in the home straight.

Gotham Queen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left hindleg back muscle injury.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr S Lithgow indicated it was his intention to retire Gotham Queen.

A post-race sample was taken from Midnight Titan - the winner of the event.

Imperial Jack - Late scratching at 2:45 pm, due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Ms Melanie Lithgow was fined $100.

A pre-race sample was taken from Solar Tiny.

Honey Eclipse checked off Dashing Pedro on the first turn.  Sudden Force and Solar Tiny collided on the first turn.  Get Go Boy galloped on the heels of Sudden Force approaching the home turn, checking Get Go Boy, Sudden Force and Sixteen Pegs.  Solar Tiny visably eased approaching the home turn, checking Sudden Force.  Solar Tiny raced wide on the home turn, checking Sudden Force and Honey Eclipse.

Solar Tiny underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hip injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Victor Millington, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Solar Tiny was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Millington pleaded guilty to the charge, Solar Tiny must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Dee Dee One, Atlantic Jewel and Joyous Jill collided soon after the start.  Atlas True Blue checked off Thumbs soon after the start.  Crakalakin Caity checked off Thumbs on the home turn.  Atlas True Blue and Dee Dee One collided in the home straight, checking both greyhounds.  Thumbs cramped approaching the winning post and lost ground as a result.

Thumbs underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg spike wound and had cramped.  No stand down period was imposed.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp) Thumbs must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

Sedaka was quick to begin.

Maximum Trina and Steve's Uggboot collided on the first turn, checking Steve's Uggboot.  How High Jazz and Lilly An' Page collided approaching the home turn, checking Lilly An' Page.  Maximum Trina contacted the running rail on the home turn, checking Solar Mocha and Striking Gold.

Maximum Trina underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg shoulder muscle injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
